Website Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Astelo website and discovery-call requests. Paid consulting work is governed by a separate accepted agreement.

About these terms

These terms apply when you access or use astelo.com.au, including the discovery-call request form and information available through the website. The website is operated by Astelo in Australia.

These are website terms only. Consulting, implementation or support services are governed by a separate proposal, statement of work or services agreement accepted by Astelo and the client. If those documents conflict with these terms in relation to paid services, the accepted services documents prevail.

General information, not professional advice

Website content is general information about operational improvement and automation. It does not take into account your organisation's specific circumstances and is not legal, financial, accounting, employment, privacy, cyber-security or other regulated professional advice.

Obtain appropriate advice and assess risks before acting on website content or changing a business process or system.

Discovery calls and enquiries

The discovery-call form lets you request a conversation about your business. It does not reserve a time in a calendar. Submitting a request:

  • does not create a client, fiduciary, partnership, employment or agency relationship;
  • is not acceptance of work by Astelo;
  • does not guarantee that Astelo will recommend automation, provide services or respond within a particular period; and
  • does not replace a scoped assessment, proposal or services agreement.

Provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are authorised to provide. Do not submit passwords, access keys, financial account details, health records or unnecessary personal information about another person.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the website in breach of applicable law or another person's rights;
  • submit false, misleading, defamatory or unlawful material;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, its systems or another person's information;
  • introduce malware, interfere with availability, bypass security or rate limits, or test vulnerabilities without written permission;
  • use automated means to extract substantial content or overload the service; or
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority to act for an organisation.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, Astelo or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the website, including its text, visual design, diagrams, branding, software and downloadable material.

You may view the website and make a reasonable internal copy to evaluate Astelo's services. You must not reproduce, adapt, publish, sell, license or commercially exploit a substantial part of the website without prior written permission, except where Australian law permits it.

Third-party links and services

The website may link to third-party websites or services. Those services have their own terms, privacy practices and security arrangements. A link does not mean Astelo controls or endorses all content or practices of the third party.

Website availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the website useful, accurate and secure, but content may become incomplete or out of date and the website may be interrupted for maintenance, security or circumstances outside our control.

To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise that the website will always be available, error-free or suitable for every purpose. We may change, suspend or withdraw content or functionality where reasonably required.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the Australian Consumer Law or another law where it would be unlawful to do so.

Paid services are governed by the applicable proposal or services agreement.

Liability for website use

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law section above, Astelo is not liable for loss caused solely by relying on general website content without obtaining an assessment of your circumstances, or by unauthorised, unlawful or technically harmful use of the website.

This section does not limit liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable statutory rights and remedies.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. The discovery-call request form links to that policy and requires your acknowledgement and permission for Astelo to contact you before submission.

Changes, Australian law and contact

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the website, our practices or the law. The current version will remain on this page with its last-updated date. A change to these website terms does not retrospectively alter an accepted services agreement.

These terms operate subject to applicable Australian law.
